Temperatures have significantly dropped due to increasing amounts of snow fall in the northern areas, specifically in Gilgit Baltistan area where it has broken a 50 year record of snowfall.
Families including little children don’t have access to warm clothes, and multiple homes have also been buried under the piles of snow.
Therefore, the ABAW team decided to take a step forward and dispatch winter clothing from Karachi to different areas in Gilgit Baltistan in January.
