ABAW Foundation volunteers preparing a community event

Volunteer With ABAW Foundation

Bring your time, your skills, and your story. Whether you can offer one hour a week or lead a full initiative, there is a place for you in our community.

Volunteer Roles

Ways to get involved.

Our volunteers work across every program we run. All roles include orientation, ongoing training, and the support of an experienced team lead.

Youth Mentor

Commit to a school year of weekly one-to-one time with a young person aged 10–18. Training and supervision provided. Vulnerable-sector check required.

Newcomer Buddy

Welcome a newly arrived family — help with orientation, practise English, share your knowledge of the neighbourhood. Multilingual volunteers especially welcome.

Event Team

Help set up, run, and wrap up community gatherings, workshops, and cultural celebrations. Great for those who want to try volunteering before committing long term.

Tutor / Homework Club

Support learners of all ages with reading, math, ESL practice, or digital-literacy skills. Weekday afternoons and weekend mornings are our busiest times.

Skills-Based Volunteer

Offer your professional skills — writing, design, accounting, IT, translation, legal, HR. A few hours a month from a specialist changes what we can deliver.

Community Ambassador

Represent ABAW Foundation at partner events, share information at community centres, and help us reach families who could benefit from our programs.
